In August 2026, a delegation from the Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro visited Kitakyushu City and toured the BRC facility of Beetle Engineering Co. Ltd., which sorts and processes glass bottles, cans, and PET bottles, as well as the Kitakyushu Eco-Town Center.
The delegation also visited recycling facilities within Eco-Town to learn about the reprocessing of household appliances and fluorescent light tubes.
