② SHSOIL (Shanghai Soil Environmental Technology Inc.)
(hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Soil)

Established in 2013. Engages in soil remediation. Its primary operations involve the manufacture and sale of high-performance materials. Based on this track record, the company possesses deep expertise in water treatment and soil remediation, being particularly renowned within China for its work in the field of stabilization treatment for heavy metal-contaminated soils. What products is your company aiming to expand overseas?

We are considering expanding Shanghai Soil's soil remediation business overseas. As we currently operate solely within China, this may take the form of exports from China, but we would certainly wish to expand into other countries should demand arise.

Our company anticipated that China's environmental regulations would follow a progression with societal development: air → water → soil. We had been awaiting an opportunity to enter the market. It was during a personal trip to Shanghai in 1998 that we were approached about a soil remediation project, which became the catalyst for our decision to enter the market.

Subsequently, we have secured patents in China for our soil remediation and solid waste treatment technologies. With the support of Kitakyushu City, we have successfully enhanced our credibility within the local market.

What kind of international cooperation and overseas business expansion has your company undertaken to date?

We believe that the environmental initiatives undertaken by our company also contribute to society. Guided by this conviction, our company has expanded its operations with support from various entities including Kitakyushu City, JICA, and JETRO.

Recent developments include the adoption of our construction soil recycling technology in the ‘China Energy Conservation Shanghai Headquarters Construction Project’, a major development in Shanghai, China, during the 2023 fiscal year. The developer, CECEP( China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group Co., Ltd.,) is the only state-owned enterprise at the national level in China to bear ‘Environmental Business’ in its name. This adoption represents a significant achievement for the company, providing momentum for its future expansion in China. The support provided by Kitakyushu City played a major role in gaining trust locally for this achievement.

While building upon such achievements, our company has also accessed and engaged in negotiations with relevant Chinese government departments and research institutions. As a result, we have now established partnerships with relevant organizations, including the SRICI(Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry), enabling us to undertake projects in various locations.
